Dennis Leonituk | #
The Beobachtungspanzer Artillerie M113A1G was a West German artillery observation vehicle based on the M113A1. Used by Bundeswehr forward observers, it carried specialized optical, navigation, communications, and fire-control equipment for locating targets and directing artillery fire. German modifications included a diesel powerplant and other changes tailored to Bundeswehr requirements. Its tracked mobility and armored hull allowed observation teams to accompany mechanized formations while coordinating indirect fire from self-propelled artillery and other supporting weapons.
